Not Free SF Reader
Old stager stiff story.
A story about telling a story, in some ways. A couple of old stager journos recount to a young woman in the same industry the discovery of a body that takes some time to identify.
Being King, this is of course set in a slightly out of the way place in Maine.

This was the first book by Stephen King I have ever read. Infact it was the first book over 300 pages that made me want to continue reading still. This book managed to keep my attention glued from page 1 and what a joy it is to read this book. I looved reading this book, and if you don't know which ...

The Tommyknockers (Signet) Stephen King
Signet, 1988
Demanding, maddening, glorious
+ good imagination but ending dragged + I was up LATE LAST NIGHT & THE NIGHT BEFORE finishing this
My first reading of this book, many years ago, was aborted. I simply hadn't the patience to wait for the slowly unfolding revelation of the inhabitants of the spacecraft and found myself scanning rather than reading large tracts of the tale.
So my second attempt at the Tommyknockers was a ...

Cell: A Novel Stephen King
SCRIBNER PUBLISHING, 2006
Apocalypse with cell phones
+ A cool, fun read.
I hadn't read any Stephen King's books lately, but I stumbled upon this hardcover edition in a book sale. The story is a typical Stephan King line-of-story where from the first happening you know things have gone wrong and will probably not be solved by the main characters.
The enemy characters ...

Carrie Stephen King
Pocket, 2005
Don't just watch the movie - READ A BOOK
As with most, this book is hugely better than the movie. Although the movie is quite good. Carrie's inner voice is creepy, her Mom is downright frightening and the girls at school are the Original mean girls. It's a short, great book.
