Ronin Frank Miller
DC Comics, 1995
Indelible Imagery. Wonderful plot. My favorite Miller work.
+ Where samurais, science fiction and genius meet + Miller being creative, and when he could draw well + not what i thought it would be but it is still good.

Dreadstar Volume 2: The Price Jim Starlin
SLG Publishing, 2000
This story should not be missed
+ Fantastic cosmic heroism, but missing the color!
Looking back at the loong collector phase of my life, this was one of the books that still comes to my mind. It's grim, it's gritty--vintage Starlin. The phrase "the price" always reminds me of this comic because I remember just how dear the price was that Syzygy paid.

Batman: Arkham Asylum (15th Anniversary Edition) Grant Morrison
DC Comics, 2005
In the mouth of madness
+ Good, but not Great
For any beginning comic reader, and even more so for anyone else, "Arkham Asylum" is essential. Claimed by DC to be the best-selling graphic novel of all time, "Arkham Asylum" is deep, psychological, terrifying, and as dark as any comic I've ever read. Grant Morrison writes with an explorative ...
