Maximum Overdrive Barry Bell, John Brasington
Starz / Anchor Bay, 2001
Horlarious
+ Your Momma!
Maximum Overdrive is brutal and funny. Imagine a prowling ice cream truck out to kill anyone who gets in it's way. Or a coke machine that is out to eliminate an entire baseball team full of kids. It's classic entertainment for anyone who loves to laugh at horror movies.

Beyond Re-Animator Tommy Dean Musset, Jeffrey Combs
Lions Gate, 2003
Awful
+ Move your dead bones, bones, bones...re-animate your feet...
This movie is awful, terrible, and has no redeeming value. This is much like the original Reanimator. I loved it! Okay, the acting may have not been Oscar worthy and the plot was kind of stupid, but it had Herbert West up to his experiments again. If you want Gone With the Wind, why even ...

Doll Graveyard Anna Alicia Brock, Kristyn Green
Wizard Entertainment, 2005
This ain't no freakin' tea party
Some folks just aren't going to buy into the idea of little dolls/action figures coming to life and killing people, even when all the fun comes direct to DVD from the same guys who gave the world The Puppetmaster, but I call it grand entertainment - as long as the kills are sufficiently gruesome ...

The Nun Ludovic Tattevin, Montse Pla
Lions Gate, 2006
A surprisingly captivating horror movie
Nun is chilling film, with deliciously devilish special effects, a fast script, and well executed acting. In it, Eve, an innocent eighteen year old that just graduated high school comes home from a party to find her mother's throat cut, and she sees a nun at the scene of the crime. Of course no one ...

Fight for Your Life Robert Judd, Catherine Peppers
Blue Underground, 2004
He's A Racist And He Loves His Cream Soda
+ Intense and very gritty 70's exploitation film. + Excellent non-PC violence filled fest
Fight For Your Life a.k.a I Hate Your Guts(a much snappier title) is a trip. It's pure 70s exploitation in the vein of the David Hess classics like Wes Craven's Last House On The Left and Ruggero Deodato's House On The Edge Of The Park. But instead of teenage girls or snooty yuppies, we have a ...

Black Sheep (Unrated) Nathan Meister, Danielle Mason
Weinstein Company, 2007
The hardest I laughed in a LONG time.
This movie is hilarious, plain and simple. Had about 10 people at my place watching it and we were going nuts! Had to rewind quite a few parts over and over again because they were so funny. Would have given it 5 stars except there are some dry parts that dragged. Still, great flick for a laugh!

I love this trashy, but scary film. It's a guilty pleasure, one not to share with minor children or females of the species.
