Behind the Mask - The Rise of Leslie Vernon
Starz / Anchor Bay, 2007
Behind the Mask
+ Clever low budget movie + Oringinal, unique, and fun
This is the best horror movie I've seen in a long time. You may not really get what's going on at first, but stick with it and you will see that it is very creative and so different from other horror movies. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Halloween - Unrated Director's Cut (Widescreen Two-Disc Special Edition) Malcolm McDowell, Brad Dourif
Weinstein Company, 2007
Great Movie!
+ rob zombie rehasing a classic + Waaaay Better Than Some of the Other Movies In This Series
There was a lot of mixed hype about this movie when it was released... A lot of people were angry for it being remade, but I love it! The acting is superior, and the horror is non stop... I'd recommend it to horror fans.

Black Sheep (Unrated) Nathan Meister, Danielle Mason
Weinstein Company, 2007
The hardest I laughed in a LONG time.
This movie is hilarious, plain and simple. Had about 10 people at my place watching it and we were going nuts! Had to rewind quite a few parts over and over again because they were so funny. Would have given it 5 stars except there are some dry parts that dragged. Still, great flick for a laugh!

You were so bloody I could bathe in your torrents of gore.
And I loved that some of the color in your scenes were washed out.
Your were so pretty ...

The Orphanage Belén Rueda, Fernando Cayo
New Line Home Video, 2008
Fantastic
+ We are the product of our surroundings + very good, very scary
The Orphanage is a fantastic movie. I'm not into Spanish films, but this is wonderful. It offers suspense and has it's moments that make me jump. It's the perfect drama-esque film. I read a review that it was this year's Pan's Labyrinth and I can definitely see the similarities with between the ...

There was a great marketing campaign and a lot of slasher fans had some high expectations. The hype of a film is a good thing and bad thing. The good it ...
