One Good Turn: A Novel
Kate Atkinson

Back Bay Books, 2007

"Boxes within boxes, dolls within dolls, worlds within worlds..."

+ A perfect piece of literature!

In the second of her Jackson Brodie series (after Case Histories: A Novel and before When Will There Be Good News?: A Novel), Kate Atkinson creates a series of bizarre characters, all involved with murder--either planning it, committing it, or trying to avoid it. Many seemingly unrelated ...

Guilty
Karen Robards

Putnam Adult, 2008

Very good book

Not sure why this got such low ratings. 15 years ago Kat was with some friends who held up a convenience store and killed an off-duty cop. This series is my absolute favorite "relax and read". Such great characters and always makes me laugh- perhaps after 14 there are just so many high expectations that fans get overly critical. Every person I recommend this just adores Stephanie Plum. Keep em coming Evanovich- but hey can you ...

excellent book

+ Overall solid Picoult

This is one of the best books I have read. It reminds me of The Green Mile. She tells this story from different viewpoints. She includes ideas from a rabbi, a priest and the gnostic scriptures. Her characters are well developed and believable. I loved this book and did not want it to end.
