Terror at Tenkiller Stacy Logan, Dale Buckmaster
United Home, 1991
A must have for all Tenkiller denizens!
Okay, I will give you this. This movie is corny, predictible, and at times plotless.
However, being a regular visitor of Lake Tenkiller in Oklahoma, it is a wonderful film to have some fun with. It is obscenely camp, and the poorness of the movie, along with the blatant holes in the plot, can ...

Phantom of the Opera Robert Englund, Jill Schoelen
Columbia/Tri-Star, 1990
"Only love and music are forever"
+ Good version + A Modern Horror Twist on a Horror Classic
The emphasis is definitely on gore in this effective 1989 take on THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, starring Robert Englund in the title role. Followers of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical might want to bypass this one.
The setting is modern-day New York. Promising opera singer Christine Day (Jill ...

Die Screaming Marianne Susan George, Barry Evans
Image Entertainment, 2001
Best Pete Walker I've Seen
I have to disagree with the other reviewers here and praise this film. Maybe part of the reason I got so much out of it was that I wasn't expecting much and got pleasantly suprised. I wasn't expecting much because I'd recently seen a couple other of Walker's films (House of Whipcord and another) ...

Redeemer Various
K-Beech Video, 1995
Weird film
I saw this in a movie theatre in 1978 and it was hauntingly memorable. When I found the VHS for sale, I couldn't wait to see it again. It's well-done for what I'd call a B-movie and the cast is unknown but effective. I've never seen another film like it, and it's worth a view if you enjoy the genre.

Slaughterhouse Joe B. Barton, Don Barrett (III)
Nelson Entertainment, 1990
More of a dark comedy than anything
+ Fun slasher + 30% fat
Me personally i think this movie rules, but like i said in my title its more of a dark comedy than a horror film. The storyline is about this guy who owns a slaughterhouse that the city is trying to condemn, well him and his 300 pound son (who snorts like a pig instead of talk, and basically is a pig ...

Motel Hell Rory Calhoun, Paul Linke
MGM (Video & DVD), 1995
I can't help but give this move five stars.
+ What An Unbelievably Funny Movie! + Motel Hell and Pizza, a winning combination!
The first girl I ever kissed was in it (she was one of the twin girls who ran screaming in the beginning). So "H," if you're ever feeling narcissistic enough to read the reviews of this movie, I just wanna say hey.

Return to Horror High Richard Brestoff, George Clooney
Starz / Anchor Bay, 1997
An Excellent Bit of Campy Horror
+ C'mon, it paid some rent......
I hate to say it, but this movie is precisely what I enjoy about B-Movie horror...buckets upon buckets of blood, characters with little-to-no development (that you'd care about anyway), and willingness to not take the subject material altogether too seriously.
On top of all of that is a ...

Prom Night Leslie Nielsen, Jamie Lee Curtis
Starz / Anchor Bay, 1997
Great 80's Slasher
Prom Night is in my opinion a great film. Jamie Lee is the scream queen!! She plays Kim the main character, who's twin sister died when she was 8 years old, in a tragic accident, when some kids pushed her from a window. Now the kids, including Kim are high school age, and all getting ready for the ...

C'mon guys!
A film like this doesn't need a 500+ word review. You can't do that to a film of this nature. 80's teen horror set in a sort of sorrority/fraternity setting. Been there. Done That. Except this one opens with the cheesiest music video known to man that takes place in the annals of a ...
