I bought the Bosch DWM40LK because I was installing a lot of crown molding. I used it for the crown and also when I built a bar.
It is a precision protractor and is well made. The extension leg comes in handy for the long sides needing measurement.

i have been a cabinet maker and finish capenter for some 45 years and i have never seen a piece of equiptment that can make cutting angles grater than a 45degree or a 90 degree any easier it's great for base molding chair rail molding or even crown molding

I got this after I got tired of trying to read the scale and is that 44.5 degrees or 44.2...the angles are exactly right with the bosch. I would recommend this to anybody doing a crown molding project, it will save you multiple trips back to the miter saw.

This is what I'm talkin about
As with all Starrett items that I own, this 6" Square is also just excellent! Well made, accurate and a pleasure to use. If you want excellent measurement and layout results, then don't skimp on cheap squares etc. Get the best and your work and life will improve.
