Sleep Through the Static
Jack Johnson

Brushfire Records, 2008

Best Yet
Our children introduced us to Jack Johnson several years ago. His music is contagious, thought-provoking and mellow. There is no screaming or swearing -- it's relaxing and upbeat. Some of the songs have lyrics that are repeated...and repeated...and repeated. ...

In Between Dreams
Jack Johnson

Umvd Labels, 2005

If you need to chill...
Jack has done a great job creating an album with a lot of continuity in the songs..it makes for an hour of really easy listening, especially if you just need to "get away."

Dear Frankie
Various Artists, Jack McElhone, ...

Silva America, 2005

Dear Frankie - Soundtrack
The movie, "Dear Frankie" is a gem. It's also my favorite, and likewise the soundtrack. The piano music at the beginning is such a beautiful uplifiting piece, as are the subsequent tracks. I loved Clarkesville and the other artists. This is a must buy!!

The Sting: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
Marvin Hamlisch, Robert Shaw, ...

Mca, 1998

Listen to it until you wear it out!
When The Sting came out I was maybe eight years old but I knew right away I'd discovered a kind of music that immediately possessed my brain. When visiting an aunt I played her copy of the soundtrack until everyone was completely sick of it, except me. Thank goodness I ...

Brigadoon (1957 Studio Cast)
Jack Cassidy, Frederick Loewe, ...

Drg, 2005

almost near-perfect BRIGADOON
Columbia's 1957 studio cast album of BRIGADOON remains to this day one of the best (if not THE best) recordings of the dreamy Lerner-Loewe score. This was originally one in a series of Broadway studio cast albums, produced by Goddard Lieberson, many of which have ...

On and On
Jack Johnson

Umvd Labels, 2003

my favorite album...ever
I absolutely love this album, in my opinion, it's jack's best album. and i own all of them. It's one that you can listen to over and over and it doesn't get old. Every single song is great, but my favorites are: Traffic in the Sky, Gone, Rodeo Clowns, Cocoon, Cookie ...

Wonderful Town (2003 Broadway Revival Cast)
Leonard Bernstein, Betty Comden, ...

Drg, 2004

Really Good, But...
This may be the prime example of how a live performance transcends any recorded experience. I have read all the rave reviews of Donna Murphy's performance and trust people's judgment: she must have been wonderful in person. In this recording, however, she struggles ...

The Evening Star (1996 Film)
William Ross, Bill Paxton, ...

Paramount Pictures, 1996

Beautiful Music
William Ross provided the score for the 1996 movie THE EVENING STAR, which was a sequel to the 1983 movie TERMS OF ENDEARMENT. The movie is both funny and sad, a beautiful movie all around, so its no surprise there is also a truly beautiful soundtrack. Unfortunately, ...
