I have some of the other Very Special Christmas albums. This one is a wonderful addition.

Great Christmas CD

I love the songs on this CD! I played this CD all throughout the Christmas holidays. I specially liked "Winter Wonderland" (Vanessa Hudgens); "The Christmas Song" (Charice); and "Santa Baby" (Kellie Pickler). It must have been the way these artists performed each song -- with lots of feeling and for the first two, a very soothing and sweet voice.

I hope they will be included again when another volume (Volume 8) is added to "A Very Special Christmas" CD series.

Now that I know that some of the proceeds go to the Special Olympics, I will be on the lookout for this series every Christmas from now on.

Good, but not as good as previous volumes

I got this CD on amazon.com for $9.99. I know the money goes for a good cause, so I was hopeful. I'm not familiar with most of the artists, but my favorite tracks on this CD are:

Little Drummer Boy
Do You Hear What I Hear
Jingle Bell Rock
Hark the Herald Angels Sing
Last Christmas
Silent Night

Little Drummer Boy with a Jamaican beat was interestring. Silent Night has all the verses. Miley's Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree is okay, at least Britney and the Jonas Brothers aren't on this CD. It just seems this edition took a different turn from the first three in this series. A decent follow up, but not great like the first three VSC CDs were.

another Christmas volume?

i'm beginning to get tired of this kind of recordings, because while the first volumes were played and sung by the most important artists (Springsteen, Mellencamp, Nicks and so on), the last ones are by some few known singers, some of them very good or at least good, but some really poor. this compilation is made of high (Miley Cyrus, Carrie Underwood) and sometime low level. for collectors and fanatics only.
p.s. is Underwood available for supper tonight? oh no, i'm forgetting i've got a wife......
