Seeds Germinated Already!! I decided to try these seeds and grow my own Ornamental Grass because I just didn't want to pay $15 plus $7 shipping/handling for a small live Pampas plant in a little-bitty 3inch pot from one of the larger mail-order nurseries. I actually bought 5 varieties of ornamental grass seeds thinking that I'd be very happy if just 3 or 4 actually grew. WOW! I planted the seeds and was very surprised and happy when just 3 days later I had little sprouts in 4 of my 5 planters. The other one took a few days longer to come up but it's doing great, too! I actually only planted 1/2 of the seeds because I decided to save back some to try with again if my first attempt failed. I was also very happy with the service from Hirt's. My seeds arrived quickly and were labeled with basic, easy planting instructions. Update (almost a year later)- It's been a very hot, dry summer here in East Texas this year.
