Christmas Gift

I purchased this item for an underpriviledged child who wanted a Barbie doll. I'm sure she was very pleased to get a "Top Model Barbie". An extra outfit comes with this item. I know she wasn't disappointed.

Not so bad

Hmmmm i like barbies but i feel they're more for the smaller crowd (like 3-8 years old). but for the older crowd i would recommend bratz, or myscene. i USED to like barbies but now im over them, so im giving them to my cousins if they have a kid. I would say bratz are my #1 favorite brand of dolls. then barbie then myscene (because its hard to slip on and off clothes on the myscenes). I highly reccommend.

Gorgeous as a model should be, but . . .

This is one of the prettiest dolls that Mattel has created recently. There is a plethora of Top Model dolls available.

The problems I think Mattel is having is that they are trying desperately to regain the doll market championship -- I don't think this will happen.

Taking the boots off is okay, but putting them back on made me think that mattel put them on and then made the stockings. Impossible, for sure.

She comes with a delightful array of items for a top model to be on site in any of a dozen places for a photo shoot.

There are so many doll makers now, that for Mattel to regain it's market shares, they must compete in the quality versus quantity race. Why not put out six pink label dolls (standard), 3 gold label, 2 silver label, and 1 grand special, and 2 Silkstone -- at the limitations they have specified.

I've been a collector for years, but it is extremely annoying to have a head pop off for no real reason except trying to put a shirt on the doll.
