Best scale I've Ever Owned

Never would have imagined that I'd have much to say about a scale, but... I like this scale!

Consistent readings & lots of (necessary) detail for healthy living. So easy to use, I can handle it even before the morning coffee.

The weight, body fat & BMI readings match with those from my Dr's office. Great for monitoring diet progress in more than just one dimension (eg: weight-only isn't enough info).

Nonetheless, the scale could be improved. Hope the next generation (at this price) will offer:
- More detailed history - perhaps daily rather than just 7/30/90 day .
- USB output for recording/tracking results via PC
- Permanently detachable screen & a longer cord (or RF), so the display could be mounted at eye-height
- Ability to determine water weight

I'm very happy with this unit and highly recommend it to friends. It won't make you eat less fat, sugar, & carbs, or exercise more...but it can help! ;-)

Painful truth

I can no longer delude myself that the doctor's scales add 10 pounds, or that my clothes might be to blame. This body fat monitor/scale is as accurate as my doctor's office equipment. I've checked it twice in the past month immediately after visits to two different doctors. I like the feature allowing the setup of two people's profiles and one for a guest user. My husband and I can now each check our own progress, since the monitor maintains a short history by user.

If you want to delude yourself with this equipment, set it on a soft rug and instantly become pounds lighter. The instructions state that it should be on a firm, flat surface, for good reason. You also have to be barefoot for an accurate body fat calculation, but if using it just for a weight reading, it's accurate even if you're wearing shoes -- convince yourself the shoes weigh a few pounds each and go eat that sundae.

I give it four stars rather than five because the "on" switch isn't in a visible location, and guests find the scale less than easy to use for a simple weight check. Otherwise, it's a very good value for the price and I recommend it.
