This sportive
case
is designed to fit notebooks with screen sizes up to 15.4", featuring protective
computer
compartment and soft-grip padded handles.
A tough neoprene case that's not too bulky.
I've owned a number of notebooks and notebook bags in my time - most of them were leather and very expensive. After a few months of constant use, the leather starts to look worn and scuffed. So, when I bought a 15" MacBook Pro, I thought I'd try something different. I picked this
case
up at Staples for around $50. It's got a ton of storage, and that storage is in all the right places. There's a lateral file in the back, accessories area, and a nice, expandable, readily accessible zippered pocket in the front for stashing things quickly. The padded grips and shoulder strap are very comfortable and the bag itself weighs just a few ounces. Since it's a vertical notebook case (i.e. you don't have to completely take the bag apart to remove/insert your notebook), it's easy to get your
computer
in and out. The padded notebook compartment offers great protection against shock. After 6 months of daily use, my notebook and the case itself still look new. Highly recommended.

OK piece of equipment for the price.
I bought this to carry my new Toshiba widescreen laptop. The laptop fits just about right and is pretty well protected in the center compartment. So the
case
does a good basic job of protection and providing portability. The zippers work smoothly. It's fairly compact and does not look like those "briefcase" cases, but then nor does it have the cargo capacity of those cases. It does look better than it should for the price. The reason I only give it three stars is because of some convenience features. 1. The center compartment is only accessible through the top (as opposed to having the zipper open the two sides), and my laptop being slightly heavy and glossy finished on one side, it can take two hands and a firm grip to pull it out safely. 2. The shoulder strap is not removable, it has to hang on the side or be fitted around the bottom of the case. 3. The two handles should have a velcro wrap so they can be combined into one handle. These aren't dealbreakers for me, it's still a good (and good-looking) basic case. Note: For some reason, the price of this case has doubled since I bought mine
from
Amazon a month ago, so it's not quite the same bargain. Or did they give me a secret discount because I bought a laptop at the same time?
