The Ultimate Swaddling Blanket by Swaddle Designs is a wonderful, soft cotton receiving blanket made of a generous size (42" x 42") that works great for swaddling your baby, and also works well as a privacy throw for breastfeeding, shield from the sun, and a play mat for tummy time.

our favorite blanket so far!

we just LOVE this blanket. after receiving numerous other blankets as gifts, we realized that we tended to only use this one. why? it's super soft, lightweight, and HUGE. we live in hawaii, so it's nice to have a large enough blanket that we can either swaddle our son in or fold in half to wrap around him for naps. it's also light enough that i don't worry about him getting overheated. we are planning to buy a few more of these! SUPER soft...softer than all our other receiving blankets.

best swaddler we've used

We actually have two of these blankets now (blue and red trim) and have given a third (chocolate trim) to a friend who's expecting. These are by far and away the best blankets we have for swaddling. As other reviewers have mentioned, they are big enough to remain useful long after our baby outgrew his other blankets. They are also very soft. We also love the weight of them. Not too heavy. We used them all winter over footed things and sleep-sacks. Now that it's summer, we use them with onesies or just over a diaper. Great that they are organic too!
