For an artist like Dale Watson, his home is where he hangs his hat (or where he puts his boots). When you're traveling the world for the best part of the year, it is good to have some certainties in life, places where your hat and boots know they're always welcome; Ginny's Little Longhorn or The Broken Spoke in his beloved Austin, Texas, will easily be recognized as such by most of his fans. But be it in close competition with the Cafe Sports in Delft, Club Newland in Klaaswaal (NL) is no doubt one of those places that feel like home away from home when Dale and his Lone Stars are on another European tour. This is a highly entertaining 90-minute set of mostly Dale Watson originals filmed live in a very inviting club environment. You can leave your hat on while enjoying Dale and his Lone Stars at home.

How can I be the first customer to write a review of this FANTASTIC DVD? Unbelievable. If you think you don't like country music, watch this and you'll be a convert to the TRUE thing, as done by Dale. He writes super songs, sings like the best in the business (and I'm NOT exaggerating), and his band is right on the mark. My favorites include (in no particular order) Luther, Yellow Mama, I Take A Lot of Pride in What I Am, I'm Wondering, Nashville Rash, Made in Japan, and Tequila and Teardrops. RUSH TO PURCHASE YOUR COPY RIGHT HERE!! IN FACT, BUY IT FOR YOUR FRIENDS. They will thank you for introducing them to Dale and his music that is traditional, yet definitely exciting and done for today's audience. On a personal note, I will go to five Dale shows this year and that is not enough....
