The face light is much improved and the crystal is slightly convex rather than flat as in the older model providing some slight magnification. There is another model that is very similar but lacks the countdown timer which I find invaluable. This watch appeals to me because it contains all the timing functions useful in everyday life but doesn't look like a descendant of sputnik on your wrist.  for more information click here great value this is a great little watch and surprisingly inexpensive.
