Book purchase

Very good book, halfway through. Author has a wonderful sense of humor making it an easy read.

This about getting healthy, not losing weight !

The governor has written an excellent book about how to improve your health. I am a family physician and I now routinely recommend it to my male executives who feel they just don't have the time nor inclination to work on healthier lifestyles.

Basic and simple Common Sense

With a little humor, much common sense, and basic plain-spoken language, Mr. Huckabee gives attainable targets for feeling better, thinner and healthier. He does not create lofty ideals from the start that are unrealistic. This book is simple, short and very easy to read and understand. He does not fill you with bizarre recipes, expensive ingredients, or try to sell you "the plan's" meals and supplements. He offers basic friendly advice showing you that you CAN do it, how he did it and how he got to be where he needed to do it.

This Book Has Helped Me

I'm only about halfway through this book, but even the title alone has given me a lot of help and inspiration to change my ways. I mean, that's exactly what I've been doing...digging my grave with my knife and fork.

There are some great tips and reading this book just makes one realize how much one has to change and eat right to live right. I would recommend this book.

Fun book but nothing really new

It was fun to read his anecdotes and the twist of talking about the twelve STOPS instead of steps was kind of cute. The actual eating lessons were nothing new.
