A rich collection of gorgeous singing

Olga Borodina's 2 CD collection "Portraits" presents a rich selection of opera arias and art songs.
The first disc features better known selections in Italian and French, with mostly Russian songs on the second CD. Ms. Borodina's voice is very beautiful from the top of its broad range to the bottom, and she displays a broad range of vocal color in her expressive singing. The pianissimo passages near the top of her range display extraordinary control of her "instrument."

This is a CD set well worth adding to your collection.

Borodina the Great !

Olga Borodina is one of the great voices of the present time. Her mezzo is rich,rounded, flexible and soaring....gorgeous! She sings some wonderful arias on this CD and I recommend it to all her fans and to others wanting to hear a great mezzo soprano. I have heard her many times on the opera stage and she is a superb actress as well as a wonderful singer. CD's can never replicate the sound of a voice from the opera stage, but this CD is about as good as you can get.
