Great CarSeat

Although these carseast are a little tall in a Ford Explorer they are great. The seats are comfortable and the straps are not flemsy and do not get all twisted around. The straps adjust very easily and it was easy to install once I figured out how to swap sides with the latch connections. It is very easy, they just overlap one another in the front of the seat. For fathers out there who don't like to read the instruction manual, this is a great one to read.

Britax doesn't disappoint

I love our new seat. The Onyx is the exact same color scheme as the Onyx Roundabout we have as well. My daughter inherited the Roundabout (my son used it for over a year and it still looks brand new) and my son couldn't be happier with the Marathon. He looks very comfortable and climbs in willingly.

My son is very comfortable.

This car seat is perfect for my son. He is much happier in it than he was in the infant car seat. It works great so far.

Love it!

I had been eyeing the Britax Marathon since I first became pregnant. I didn't want to spend too much on a car seat, but the high safety reviews of this brand/model made my decision easier. I found a great deal on this car seat several months later and couldn't pass it up. While the car seat is a little larger than I expected, it is still easy to use. The installation is a breeze and it is more secure than her previous car seat. She is currently 5 months and seems to be very comfortable in it. I love the fact that she can use it up to 65 pounds. Another great feature is the velcro tabs that keep the straps out of the way while I put my daughter in the seat. The tabs also help to keep the straps from twisting. My only regret is that I did not purchase another one when I came across that deal!

Great, but if you're child is over one year, go with a Graco Nautilus

I bought this car seat for my 6 month old daughter at the same time that I bought a Graco Nautilus for my 2.5 year old son. My son was outgrowing his 40lb convertible car seat, and it was nearing its 8-year-expiration (it was from my older twins.) My daughter was outgrowing her Graco infant seat and so I needed new seats for both. I installed them at the same time, and have been using them both for the last month or so. Both seats installed very easily. This one has slightly thicker feeling straps, and is very cushy and comfortable. It is very wide, so be warned that it takes up a full-seat area. I drive a Yukon XL, and I barely have room for two car seats and two booster seats. It took the baby a few weeks to get to where she didn't cry every time I put her in it. It was either because she was as snugly as in her infant seat (this is wider and no obvious sides,) or because this is very reclined when installed in the reclined position. She sleeps very nicely in it now for her naps in the car. I like the velcro on the sides that holds the harness straps up out of the way so that you can buckle the child in easily.

But I have to say that I like the Graco Nautilus almost exactly the same. I wish that the Nautilus went rear-facing and I would have gotten two. If your child is older than one year, I recommend getting the Nautilus and saving a lot of money. It is very easy to install, is very comfortable and secure, has the same harness weight, and will convert to a booster up to 100 pounds after they outgrow the harness.

This is a great car seat, and is worth the money if you have an infant, but otherwise go with the Nautilus. It keeps them secure, is very comfortable, and is a lot cheaper.
