Imagine a medieval
castle
filled with excitement and adventure at every turn! Secret passages, revolving walls, stairs that "magically" appear--and you make it all happen! Just place the king or one of his knights on the action stones throughout the castle and turn. You'll unlock a new adventure every time you play! Ages 3 and up.
Great for 6 year old too!
We bought this for our son's 6th Birthday. I looked at other knight options and only saw PlayMobile, which I've been told have lots of tiny parts that you have to keep track of.
Every boy child (so far) who comes to our house loves it (24 months to 8 years). My kids especially like the trap door and hidden staircase. Our younger son is 3 and it's nice to know that the pieces are durable enough for him. Even our friend's child who is 24 months kept pulling on the draw bridge and caused no damage.
I like how it closes up so that it doesn't take up too much space. We have a tupperware container that we keep the pieces in. The cannon is also very fun and shoots a full 2-3 feet. The only problem we've had is that the projectiles only work one way (although they seem symmetric), I'm wondering if over time the plastic will wear down and they will no longer launch.
Putting the swords and shields in the knights' hands is rather difficult, even for my 6 year old, I don't see how your average 3 year old would be able to do it on his own.

Great toy for a 3-6 year old
My son got this for Christmas from SANTA and he loves he. He is 4 years old. I hear him playing with it and it is really opening up his imagination. The
castle
is very sturdy and it is nice that it folds up and you can store all the little guys in it. Great Toy.
Promotes Creativity and Imagination
Pros:
-My kids love these. It really encourage their creativity. Their other sets include
castle
s, knights, giants, dragons, wizards, pirates, etc. -Interactive - with cannons and bows/arrows that shoot projectiles, trap doors, audio and visual effects.
-Durable
-A great alternative to Legos.
Cons:
-
Price
had gone up so much
-This is for older kids. A 4-year old will have a real hard time to snap them together and may feel frustrated.
-One set is not enough. You may really need to expand to do more.

SO Happy!
I bought this for my two and half year old boy and he LOVES it! He plays with it all the time and will actually play quietly by himself! He loves to incoorporate his other toys with it as well! I HIGHLY recommend this toy!
Love this preschooler-friendly castle!
My 2.5 y/o boy loves all things knights, so I searched for a long time to find a play
castle
he'd like. I really liked the Playmobil products, but there were waaaaaaay too many tiny pieces that he couldn't manipulate and of course there's always the risk of a choking hazard. I liked the wooden castles but was leary of their durability and they just seemed so plain.
After reading many reviews I chose this castle and am so glad we did! It's very sturdy and has provided hours of fun for my child. I like that it encourages open play and doesn't require batteries or make annoying sounds. The knights aren't "scary", but they're more advanced looking than the happy Little People which IMO doesn't have the same creative play potential because it has fewer play options, i.e. no cannon, flags, secret passages, etc.
It folds up nice and neat and you can toss all the pieces inside if you want--minimal mess, which is great for a toy w/ the potential for a lot of small parts.
On that note, I got this for an older toddler that I knew was past the mouthing stage. There are several small pieces--helmets, swords, flags, the cannon ammo--that would worry me if he was still putting things in his mouth.
That said, I'd def recommend this product for older toddlers and up!
