No More Plastic Taste

I picked up this machine last month at my town Big Lots store for $17.99 (what a deal!). Before I paid for the machine I looked at the reviews right from my cell phone and I read lots of complaints about a funny plastic taste, because of the price I decided to give it a try. Once I got home I primed the machine following the instructions that came with it, and after brewing my first cup I almost spit it!! Disgusting plastic taste that ruined my French Vanilla flavored coffee. The next morning I brew another cup and the same, later I discovered that leaving the pod on the machine right after brewing my cup of coffee solved the problem. I did it for one week, brew the coffee in the morning before going to work and left the pod in the machine instead of disposing it right after, I'll leave the pod on the machine all day and remove after I returned from work. I guess that the coffee aroma stuck to the plastics parts on the machine, who knows!! Now I am enjoying the best coffee ever.

I had an earlier model black & decker cafe coffeemaker and I thought it was good but this one is great.It is handy when you only need one cup of coffee there is only one person in the family that drinks coffee so there's no need to have a coffeemaker that make more that one cup that's a waste. So now I'm saving money.

Black & Decker One Cup coffee maker

I like this coffee maker and this is the second one that I have owned. It is too bad that it is discontinued. I had the first one for two years and I never cleaned . I knew I was supposed to clean it to keep it working. I failed to clean and it stoppoed working. It took a lot of research to find one, so I guess I will have to take good care of this one. It makes on cup of coffee at a time, either, 7 oz., 9 oz., or 12 oz. It is very easy to use and your coffee is ready in about three minutes. This is really great when you are leaving the house and need a cup to go. The one thing that is bad is that it is disconinued. There are not any available in the local department stores.
