The best album ever!

This is my all-time favorite album. Every song is amazing, especially "The Kill". Jared Leto's voice is beautiful and he has the genius song-writing skills to make him and his band just about perfect. :)


Great Album-- Excellent Sound Quality

This is a great album if you already like a couple of 30 Seconds to Mars songs. In my opinion, the sound quality from Amazon MP3s are better than iTunes. Once you download the Amazon MP3 manager, the songs download, then iTunes program on my computer automatically recognizes the new downloads and then all that's left to do is sync the songs to my iPod. great cd but the bonus tracks...

...are just throw on because the album was leaked i think 2 months before release. The Fantasy is the best track with A Beautiful Lie and Savior tied for second in my oppinioin. not to mention R-Evolve is another great melodic song along with A Modern Myth


Musical Peers of Rush or Pink Floyd

In the "music downloading era" it's rare to find an entire "album" of music. Most of us are listening to short bites of music by a variety of musicians. This album bucks that trend. "A Beautiful Lie" by 30 Seconds to Mars is a complex, powerful, cohesive work of art. It feels like an up-to-date version of a Rush or Pink Floyd album. All of the tracks are good, and they are enjoyed most by listening through the entire album together. Of course, the title track is the strongest, and I think "From Yesterday" is the most "commercial;" in other words, the one that would be most likely to be on a Billboard chart.

I have no idea why this band has not garnered more attention. Maybe the fact that actor Jared Leto is the lead singer has caused people them to write him off as just another movie star that wants to be a rocker.

If you like meaningful rock with carefully written lyrics, tracks put together as a unified work of art, you'll love "A Beautiful Lie."
