The extra long handle is manufactured from ultralight brushed chrome and guaranteed for long life with normal use. Handle will not rust when left in the shower. The other reviewer obviously has not tried this. The weight of the razor plays a big factor in how the razor performs. Obviously, the other reviewer does not understand this. If the razor has weight of its own, there is no need to apply excess pressure with your hands, thus you get a smoother shave with less irritation.
