It's the dead of night in Boston Harbor and our intrepid reporters, Sarah and James, spot colonists disguised as Mohawk Indians sneaking aboard British ships and dumping tons of tea overboard. This act of defiance against the British authority is a defining moment of the American Revolution. It's then on to Lexington and Concord, where citizens calling themselves "Minutemen" take up arms against the powerful, experienced British army of "redcoats." Outnumbered and outgunned, the Minutemen refuse to back down, and soon the evening's silence is shattered by the "shot heard around the world." On the village green in Lexington, the first shot of the Revolutionary War has just been fired!

Several years later and I still love it...

When I was younger, I loved this show to bits. Now, I still love it! Not really for ages 10+, may be too boring. But I'm 11, and its still enjoyable. A catchy theme song, fun facts, interesting characters (for a PBS show), how much better can it get?

I wish they were easier to get

This series is great. The only real problem I have with it is that it is really hard to find more stuff. I was speaking with the librarian at the school I teach at and we agreed that this would be a great series for schools to have on hand. Unfortunately it is too hard to find.

Liberty's kids..... * yawn *

This was a great movie when i was 7... i guess i have just grown out of it. it's a great movie about the american revolution!
