Created in 1990, Safari is a refreshing, gentle, floral fragrance. It is the result of the following top fragrance Notes: orange, black currant and jasmine. The middle notes are: orris, rose and genet and the base of the fragrance is: sandalwood, cedarwood and vetiver. Safari is recommended for casual use.

Sad but True!

Safari has been discontinued and is no longer sold in department stores. I think it was one of Ralph Laurens better perfumes. I wore it from the year it came out until it was discontinued. I was complimented on it constantly. I even had guys angling to sit by me just to breathe in the scent. The reason I think it was dicontinued - it changed into a totally different scent after only a few months of the opening spray. The real fragrance didn't last long enough. My sister had a bottle that she kept for three years - it reeked! I know, I know, all perfume ages, but not like Safari did. It happened to fast, within three months or less. So I loved it, and wore it for years, but I can understand why some people complained about it. I was thinking about making a purchase here at Amazon, but I don't want to get the old smelly stuff.

I LOVE SAFARI!!

I HAVE BEEN WEARING SAFARI FOR 15 YEARS AND I LOVE THE WAY IT SMELLS. EVERY TIME I WEAR IT, PEOPLE ALWAYS ASK ME WHAT PERFUME I'M WEARING. I LOVE IT AND WILL WEAR IT FOREVER! IT IS MY "SIGNATURE" FRAGRANCE!

Safari is the BEST!!!!

I love to wear Safari. Several times a week someone will ask what kind of perfume I am wearing and comment how nice it smells. I will continue to wear it until I can no longer get it. Someone said it is discontinued. Does anyone know??

The end of an era

Yes.....from the time I smelled Ralph Lauren's Safari, it became my favorite fragrance. It broke my heart when I was told it was discontinued. But hey, why keep the men's fragrance around and discontinue the women's fragrance. The men's Safari is still being sold. Sometimes I think they will bring the women's Safari back just for the holidays, but I haven't seen it around.
