Keep freshly brewed coffee hot for hours with this Braun KF600 Impressions 10-Cup Thermal Coffeemaker. Combining long-lasting brushed stainless steel with an elegant design, it features a double-wall vacuum-insulated thermal carafe and a flavor-sealing brew-through lid. The carafe's pour-and-lock system, as well as its open, soft touch, non-slip handle, allows for simple pouring with the push of a button. With the coffee maker's pause-and-serve feature, a cup can be poured mid-brew, and for convenience and safety, the unit is designed with an automatic shut-off feature. Its exclusive, filter basket-release button makes it simple to remove the basket and conveniently place it on the countertop for easy filling or cleaning. The coffee maker comes with a permanent gold-tone filter and an exclusive Brita water filter, which helps prevent scale build-up and reduces chlorine and other impurities for an improved coffee flavor. The unit is designed for household use only and features dishwasher-safe removable parts for easy clean up. The coffee maker measures 13 by 7-1/2 by 14-1/8 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.

The absolute BEST

This coffeemaker is the best electric I have encountered in my 35 years of coffee drinking.
1. Carafe does not spill or drip when loading or pouring.
2. Carafe keeps coffee hot, wide top makes cleaning easy - the machine pauses if you want a cup before it is done and shuts off automatically when it is done.
3. The basket is easy to load, unload and clean, the water reservoir is easy to use, the on/off switch is beautifully functional - German engineering at its best.
4. I have had one for over a year of steady use and it is still great.
5. I am buying them now as gifts.

Extremely User Friendly

I'm not a coffee drinker so I can't comment on that aspect of the coffeemaker, but I've not had any complaints. I purchased the Braun for the office. We were dissatisfied with our Krups mainly because the water gauge malfunctioned all the time so I did my due diligence and found this Braun to have the highest ratings in our price range. It seems to me, since I do most of the coffee making, to be the most user friendly machine we've ever had. My boss's only comment is that for him it is not as easy to pour from as the Krups carafe.

Excellent Product

I almost didn't buy this because of some poor reviews. They were wrong! This Coffee Maker works great! If you want bells and whistles, buy something else. If you want something that makes great coffee and keeps it warm, this is an excellent product.

Better than most

I am pretty happy with the Braun KF600. I bought it based on other reviews I read here on amazon.com. I like that it's easy to use and the fact that it comes with the thermal carafe. I also like that it came with an optional water filter. I put it in, but if I decide not to use it, I don't have to (just take it out and put in the plastic, mock filter).

I am a bit disappointed that it doesn't keep the coffee hot for longer and it shuts itself off only after about 10 minutes. Not a big deal because I can re-heat in the mircowave, but I was expecting the thermal carafe to make it so I didn't have to do that. It's kind of hard to clean inside the carafe because the opening is rather small. I have small hands too and my hand will get stuck. Again, not a huge problem. I just will have to buy a kitchen implement that will reach down inside. Also, make sure you don't keep it under a counter when you turn it on because steam comes out through the filter part pretty heavy. I'd almost forgotten about this. I've never had a coffee maker that did this and I have to say this is the most disappointing thing about the coffee maker. I'm used to keeping ours under the overhead cupboards but I can't do that anymore.

A no frills coffee maker that hopefully will last longer than our last one (the glass carafe was so thin that it kept breaking and the company would only replace it for free one time). It's not as wonderful as the reviews I read made it sound, but it's not bad either.
