Great Tool

bought this a month or two ago for a small roofing job on my house. at $142 new in box i couldn't pass it up. finally got to use it today and it worked great. i switched triggers before i used it to make it fire only when i pulled the trigger. couldn't get the hang of it that way so i put the bump trigger back on and it worked like a charm. only had a few nails that didn't go in the whole way, but from what i hear that is the case with most roofing nailers. if you're lokking for a tool to make your roofing projects go smoothly, give this one a try.

Roofing Nailer

I have nothing but good to say about the Dewalt D51321 Roofing Nailer that I purchased a couple of months ago. I just finished a 41 square roof with not one nail jam. That is approximately 9000 nails ran through the gun. I am not a professional roofer but with this gun I could get there. The easy pressure adjustments and rapid fire feature make this item a perfect fit for any amature or professional roofer. Plus you will not find this item cheaper anywhere else. Great for what I need it for

First off, I'm not a roofer. I bought this to roof a shed (2 squares) and to use when I get around to re-roofing my garage. Its pretty simple to operate. I had a few of nails that didn't set completely, but I think that was more from my learning curve with the tool, than the tool itself. I also had a few misfires when the nails didn't feed properly. These were easy to fix, but an aggravation. Again, I don't know if that's from the nails I was using, my technique, or the tool itself. For the price, it was definitely a good buy for me. I don't know how it would hold up for someone who had to use it everyday to put food on the table though (it felt a little flimsy). That's why I gave it 4 stars.

Great price! I can appreciate the lightweight body and ease of use. I don't like the plastic trigger though. The rubber skids on the sides of the gun are a good idea to prevent shingle injury. Also, the exhaust should be more easily adjustable. So far I am pretty satisfied with this gun, although at the end of each coil my gun has about a 90% ratio of shooting the last nail. I've had no problems with double shots unless I'm not paying attention to what I'm doing.
