Shed some light on your child's creativity. This
Doodle
Pro
Glow
from Fisher-Price allows kids to bring their drawings to life with lights. Just draw on the screen with one of the three colored markers, turn on the light and your drawing comes alive! Doodle Pro Glow includes storage drawer, three markers, eraser and five pre-printed tracing sheets. Requires 4 "AA" batteries (not included).
Great fun for children 5+
I think the Manufacturer Recommended Age for this toy is incorrect. Instead of 36 month to 6 years, it should be 5+ years. My 5-year-old boy really love to draw using this toy. Throw away the included sponge and buy a pack of cheap baby wipe instead. Clean up is easy using the baby wipes. My son also has the Crayola Color Explosion
Glow
Board. It is a similar
pro
duct. The recommended ago for Crayola Color Explosion Glow Board is 6+ years. Fisher Price should really market this product for older kids. The glowing effedt is really cool. The included tracing mats are really helpful. The Fisher Price makers are higher quality than the Crayola makers and last longer.

Fun to draw and write on!
It helps toddlers practice drawing and writing letters so im
pro
ves fine motor skills. The best part is that the pictures are interesting enough to keep even 6 to 8-year-olds engaged. The drawbacks are that the pictures are not durable. So to make them last, laminate them. Also, if they made the markers in more different colors and the pad itself a little more compact it would be perfect! Overall, very satisfactory.
Great for Practicing Spelling Words
I have 2 boys (8 & 11). This is a great tool for practicing their weekly spelling words. They can write as big as they want and even do them in the dark. I just use a damp washrag to wipe the words off. The little sponge was lost almost immediately; however, we have managed to keep the 3 pens for 1 1/2 years now. This is a record since my boys have a tendency to lose everything. The pens fit on the back or into the drawer inside the unit. As far as tracing and drawing, my boys don't do either. But as a teaching aid this
pro
duct is invaluable.

There is still a way to get some use!
My daughter received as a present at 3 years old. It was frustrating to have to scrub the screen constantly and dry it and then of course the markers that stain.
So I took away the markers.
I gave her a bottle of cheap lotion and a paint brush and also let her finger paint with the lotion.
She would use a damp wash cloth to wipe it down herself and start all over.
Although not exactly colorful, it still was entertaining enough for her. The lotion had almost a black light effect and would
glow
enough to keep her entertained for awhile, at least not as seriously messy as finger- painting or any paint for that matter.
So, the
pro
duct and how you are supposed to use it, is poorly made and cheap for it's overpriced tag.
Would have been a great toy and it is a great idea, but as is now- disappointing.
