Good music from the first track through the last
Scott Grimes is not just another actor trying to be a musician. After hearing the CD you will agree that his musical talent is unquestionable. It has an early 80s rock sound that is solid from start to finish. I am always listening to it in the car, tapping on my steering wheel and singing outloud. You will not be dissapointed with this CD.
A TRUE GIFT!

Great CD!
I was shocked to learn that my favorite character on ER was a singer. Then I found the album and put it in the CD player. Man was I surprised. You can tell he was influenced by Bruce Springsteen, but I was most surprised that the songs were actually good. He has a really high voice but sings well. I recommend this CD to all music lovers.
Amazing CD!
I must ask, Why Hasn't Scott Grimes released a newer album? This album is fantastic! Scott is a amazing singer and the band is pretty awesome too. Although out of print now, I purchased mine through a Amazon Seller, so worth it! I wish I could go out and buy more copies to give out to friends.

Scott Grimes: Music to acting!
Okay, this may not be a GREAT album, but if you think he was (ER) actor to musician, you would be WRONG. Scott was being produced by Richard Carpenter (yes, THAT Richard Carpenter from the 70's largest-selling act "Carpenters") back in the 80's after sister Karen's untimely death. Scott was singing long before the ER stint came along...though his roots were in acting.....from a review of his 1989 self-titled "Scott Grimes" album....
Scott Grimes is Richard Carpenter's most ambitious production job, in my (the writer's) opinion. It is the farthest from a "Carpenters" sound of any of his post-Carpenters projects, although it remains absolutely identifiable as a Richard Carpenter production, mainly because of his multi-layered backing vocals throughout the album. Scott Grimes was a child actor who got his start in the mid-1980s as a guest star on shows like "Who's the Boss." He had appeared on Richard Carpenter's first solo album, Time, singing lead vocals on the track "That's What I Believe." This CD has been out-of-print for years now, and it is quite scarce, although copies turn up on eBay from time to time.
Anyway, this more current album reflects a much more grown-up Scott. Not a Grammy winner...but not exactly poor performances, either.
