Stylish, convenient, and comfortable, the
Logitech
Premium
Stereo
Headset
may be the only audio accessory you need. It complements your PC's sound card to deliver high-performance stereo sound from music, games, movies, and more. Its high-quality,
noise
-
canceling
microphone
lets you get more from applications that use voice chat and voice command, such as multiplayer gaming, audio and video instant messaging. Inline volume and mute controls let you adjust or mute the sound, and you will enjoy maximum comfort thanks to soft foam ear pads and a high-grip, premium rubberized headband.

Loud, good sound
I love this
headset
, the sound is really loud which is important for a laptop that doesn't put out much power.
The sound is good, the response is pretty flat. The elements are big giving lots of base (I don't know why one reviewer said the opposite).
It has a mike mute switch, which is good and a volume control that is a knob (which is better than a slider because you don't have to figure out which end is up to use it).
I haven't recorded with it to test but I've been told the mike sounds good.
Note some people are confused, it's a "
noise
cancelling mike" not "noise
canceling
headphones". That means that the MIKE is only sensitive to sounds that come from the direction of your mouth. It does not mean that the ear pieces are more quiet.
But it's the sealed ear piece tight on the head kind of headphones, which gives you some isolation and more thump... But some people might not like the pressure on their ears.

Volume control ruined it
Who on earth designed the volume controls for this thing? It's an almost-flush "ring" with a bump the size of a pinhead that rotates with amazing resistance. If you have the smallest bit of skin oil or moisture on your finger, you can't rotate the wheel. Your finger slips across it. Trying to press down on the "bump" makes the wheel immovable, and your finger slips again.
I have two of these, and the slightest bend around the volume control wire connections causes drop-outs in audio. I can't seem to find one set of headphones that don't require bending of the cords to get 100% audio.
