When the mother of 13-year-old Virginia (Letherman) dies in a riding accident, Virginia's father (Byrne) sells the horse and vows neverto let his two daughters ride. Defying him, Virginia nurses the horse's new colt, Stormy, and secretly trains with him at night. But when Stormy is sold, Virginia's sister and a sympathetic trainer (Whalley) must help convince her father that a girl needs free rein to grow.

An awesome film .. towards what really counts in life!

This is an wonderful film. Especially, if you want to view people in their horse "click" environment versus why most horse owners love their animals. This is one of the best Horse films made with lots of real life issues and filming. A must see film.

The BEST MOVIE I"VE EVER SEEN!

The characters feel like there are actual people. It's the best movie ever! The story was amazing! The acting was excellent!! The dad and the girls really seemed to be a family. The horses were awesome. There were funny parts and sad parts. I loved it! Anyone who loves horses will LOVE THIS MOVIE!!! Buy it, watch it, watch it again!!

I though it wouldnt look about horses, it did and its incredible!!!

the cover may be somewhat misleading it is mainly about horses, and the only thing about this movie I dont like is how cruel the guy i think named darrel??? treats his horses he kicks the horse about a million times in one minute at the finish line when no one is comming? and he kicks the horse so hard is goes soo fast that he has to rear back to stop before hitting the crowd! okok so two sisters mother died and the father doesnt want her riding so when darrels fathers mare has a foal the mare dies and the foal was being taking care of by virginia the girl. so then youll just have to find out the rest yourself I dont want to spoil the movie, but I like the part when she trys to drive the truck lol, giggle giggle

An average account of girls and their love of horses.

The title AND the fact that horses play a huge role enticed me to watch this movie recently. Overall the acting is fairly stiff, and the story isn't all that compelling, but I still watched it in its entirety. I have yet to watch a horse movie and believe the relationship between the horse and its human. It's all suggested and not believable. I don't regret watching it, but don't think I'll watch it too many more times. For true horse lovers it will have to be one of the few movies to watch just on general principal.
