The Architectural series of patio speakers from TIC incorporates the highest level of exterior audio performance in a unique, aesthetically pleasing design. Can be installed as an 8 ohm speaker or in a 70V system. A switch on the back allows for an easy adjustment of a 70V line application and wattage can be selected from 2.5, 5, 10, 15, and 20 depending on amount of speakers on the line, or simply set the switch to 8 ohms. The Architectural series consist of high quality components, incorporating Y30 ferrite magnets, low resonance frames, and a soft woven spider. The cones are polypropylene with non-wovens edge surounds and high density blown neoprene mounting bumpers. A high quality crossover, Teflon coated baskets and interior housings coupled with high impact UV resistant ABS complete the assembly. These waterproof speakers will resist infestation, mildew, and fungus for many years of exterior performance. Just what I wanted

Wanted some great sounding waterproof speakers for out by the pool. Have a nice set of cheaper Jensons on the patio but I didn't order those because they are not rated for full exposure so I found these and for a few more dollars they are fantastic! Great full ranging sound and loud enough on my old JVC reciever and amp even when we're splashing around.

The sound from these speakers is quite unimpressive. The volume level is very low. I wanted these so I could have my "B" speakers out on the deck, and my "A" speakers still playing in the house. These speakers are so much quieter than my stereo's normal speakers, that it can't be done. In order to have adequate volume outside on these speakers, the volume would have to be set so the indoor speakers were blaring. So I have to turn off the "A" (indoor) speakers when I play these speakers outside since the volume has to be cranked up to get the same sound.
