Top Movie Stars at Their Best

Led by Steve McQueen and Edward G. Robinson, this all-star cast, and an excellent story base make this one of the greatest of all movies - whether you are a poker fan or not.

Classical McQueen

I'm not a critic, just a fan...definitely a classic, wonderful performences by all. MeQueen, Robinson, Malden....it doesn't get too much better, plot good, scenery good, movie gooooood, don't take my word.....watch for yourself. Oh Ann Margaret,,,,,at her bitchiest.....

WHO NEEDS TEXAS HOLD "EM

The Cincinnati Kid is the BEST poker movie made!! Steve McQueen, Karl Malden, Ann-Margret were great in this film but Edward G Robinson steals the show as Lancey Howard. For the young folk this movie was how professional poker was played in the back rooms and alleys.

Every poker fan should take his or her copy of "Rounders" and toss it in the back of your DVD collection and get a copy of "The Cincinnati Kid"

McQeen, Margaret, Weld play their hands!

Another great McQueen film!! He is truly the epitome of "cool" and this picture features Tuesday Weld and Ann Margaret to boot! There was a surprise ending which really added to the overall affect of this vintage poker film.

could've been

This thing could have been as great as Robert Rossen's The Hustler, instead what we get is a second-rate
flick by a second-rate director.

They screwed up big time when they let the original helmer go, namely Sam Peckinpah, and hired a guy like Norman Jewison, who wasn't even good enough to shine Bloody Sam's shoes.
