Jarod is a Pretender-a genius whose exceptional intelligence allows him to assume various identities at will, be it doctor, test pilot or lawyer. Taken from his parents at an early age, Jarod was brought up in the Centre, a think-tank facility where he believed his computer-like mind was being used to benefit mankind. But when he learned the simulations he solved were being sold to the highest-bidder no matter what their intent, Jarod escaped. Now on the run, Jarod embarks on a search for his true identity while also attempting to balance out any wrong his simulations have caused by helping people who are as powerless as he once was.

Ohh Ms.Parker

Well other than Ms.Parkers sexy legs this show is great to watch.I started watching these when they were on TVs original run and now that they are on DVD the wife and I usually watch an espisode a night.
We always joke of Jarods mannerisms such as his facial expression when he gets mad or comes up with a sly plan.The show has everything in it from drama to comedy to *cough* Ms. Parkers sexy legs *cough*.
Well let me post this review before the wife sees me writing this and takes away my Pretender DVDs!

Waited 12 years for this

I never missed this series when it was on tv and I was so EXCITED to find it available on DVD on Amazon. I actually purchased the first set of the 4 season series for my daughter's birthday. She absolutely loved it. I think what I like most is the Genius mind of Jerrod but the innocence of him also. He is always helping other people while at the same time trying to find out who he really is. You find yourself feeling compasion for him. And Michael T. Weiss is HOT! Especially when Jarod gets angry and even with the person who did someone wrong. There is no Violence or strong language which I really appreciate.

Pretender lender

Most of the episodes at the beginning have the same predictable narrative but this doesn't take away from the 'genius' of the show. This first season delves into Jarod's past just enough to make you want more.
Good neat packaging and some cool special features are most welcome too.

Review

The product was as described and received in a timely manner. One of the DVDs was slightly scratched and did not work in a couple places.

Great show, but wrong DVD region code

Couldn't play this in my European Playstation 3, so I was forced to watch this on my computer instead.
The show in it self is brilliant though.
