MUST HAVE!
This was a life savor! My son had sever colic for 5 months! We called it the "womb"! It is a must have! I purchased a second
ultimate
baby
wrap
incase he spit up on one--I had another clean one to use. We went from the ultimate baby wrap to the Ergo--also a must have! Do not waste your money on the bijorn!
Loving the wrap in Korea
I love this
wrap
! I have found that in Korea the streets, sidewalks and public transportation is busy. There are a lot of businesses on the top floors and no elevators. Once you get the wrap adjusted and figure out the tension it is great! Not only does this wrap keep
baby
covered so you do not have to drag a blanket with you. It keeps your hands free, to hold umbrella's, and use hand rails. I have sat on a crowded subway and nursed my baby and no one was the wiser. When my baby was done I moved her around and then she was sitting up and looking around. I like that when you are done using the wrap you roll it up and put it n the bag. It comes with a bag to put the wrap in when you are done for storage, I clip it on to a backpack and it does not take up much room at all.
I have a baby pack also but never use it as it causes back pain and shoulder pain, I have to take the baby out to nurse and carry my hooter hidder and a blanket. With the wrap I do not have to carry all the extras. This is the best thing ever!! I will not leave the house with out it!!

Great stuff but not an all in one
This looks complicated, but after watching the DVD to make sure I had it right it became much simpler (the instructions look more complicated than they really are).
I wish it came in a longer length so that it would fit both my husband and myself.
This is great for going for walks or doing things around the house, but I haven't figured out the nursing/sleeping setup yet. I've even been to the gym using this
wrap
. The way it uses both shoulders and you back and abs to support the weight of the
baby
makes it very comfortable. Enough so that if it was longer my husband would be able to wear it (with our 16lb 2 month old that's an achievement all by itself).
You can't however get a sleeping baby in or out of it without waking them up. The worst thing about it is if your baby is asleep and you want to transfer them to a crib or bassinet (or just quit wearing them for a while).

Buy a Moby instead
I registered for this thinking that no one would buy us a moby but they might buy the UBW since it was at babies r us. The 5 different ways to carry the
baby
are appealing and the instructional video explained how to use the
wrap
pretty well. The front panel doubles as a nice pocket for credit cards, pacifier or a back up diaper. On the downside- the material is too stretchy. I had to keep a hand on my baby at all times to minimize the bounce when I walked (so much for hands free). The fabric stretches the longer you wear it and I kept having to readjust the wrap...which meant having to un load baby and find a place to put him while I adjusted and retyed the end. The adjustable rings are a joke...I just had to tie the ends together, because the rings ended up in the middle of my back!!
In short I've used my wrap a half dozen times...tomorrow I'm headed out for a moby and posting my UBW on Craigslist. Don't waste what precious little "out of the house time" you have...if you want a wrap go for a good one the first time and this isn't it!

Was only useful when my baby was very small and when it was not too hot
My husband really liked this, I did too at first. When
baby
was very small he didn't mind being so snuggled and he would even nurse in there. I also wore it on the airplane. As soon as baby gets too warm or when he gets a bit bigger he struggles to get free of the confinement. Going for walks with it for me felt constricting. Because the material is so stretchy, it readjusts itself instead of staying put and to redo it is not hard, but not graceful and you don't want it dragging about because the fabric is so long. The stretchiness also made it hard to use for a bigger baby as it would sag and he did not want to be held so tight. Sometimes it seemed constricting on the baby's thighs too. Good concept, but my friend tells me the Diddymos
wrap
is better constructed material-wise. I have ordered the Lascal M1 front
carrier
and expect it will outperform the baby bjorn active carrier. It's my 5th front carrier, so I'm crossing my fingers.
