Whereas traditional manufacturing of Marseille soap was abandoned everywhere else, in Salon-de-Provence, Marius Fabre and his descendents have, for three generations, committed themselves to authentic Marseille soap manufacturing. Nowadays, few soap manufacturers own working cauldrons, even fewer are able to carry on the cooking of soap, and check, by tasting it, its perfect making. Marius Fabre still uses these methods, and is taking the time to make soap according to the rule book.
