No Samson & Delilah, no Solomon, no Julius Caesar etc. SAK "Minor Works" is more like it Both Amazon and Brilliant Classics' own site neglect to specify the contents. Most instrumental works are here (except keyboard suites) but of over 20 English oratorios, the crown of Handel's work, only 3 (Messiah, Jephtha, and Belshazzar - the last sung in German!)and of 44 Italian operas only 3 (Imeneo, Faramondo, and Rinaldo). More than half the CDs have less than 60 minutes of music, and there are no texts for the 25 CDs of vocal music. Performers, mostly obscure, are identified by name only, no background information.
