Great Product

This is my first online review but I felt compelled to help other moms find a great product. I read the varying reviews but bought this product anyways b/c I would never use a microwave version and the price was good compared to the competition. It works great!!! I know you can stop sterilizing after they are 6 weeks old, but why when it is so easy and only a 20 minute extra step to feeling better about the cleanliness of the item going into your baby's mouth!! I have been using mine for 3 1/2 months and still love it!!! Sometimes I have to hold down the "ON" button a few seconds longer than other times but that's easy enough.

It did its job

We first got this as a gift and we had no problems with it. It fit our Dr Brown bottles and all the little pieces that bottles and pumps come with. We did end up having to get a second one because our first one broke but that was our own fault.

Because I read the mix reviews here, I checked out all the other products. They either didn't fit enough bottles I wanted or were more than I was willing to pay. I decided to take a chance, hoping that my first one wasn't just a fluke.

After being shipped, there was a big crack on the bottom of the white plastic container, however it looked like a foul up from the seller or shipping rather than the manufacture. Luckily, there was nothing wrong with the one from the old one. And it did a good job just like the last one.

So would I recommend it? Yes
Would I buy it online? No

Serves its purpose

I use the Playtex Drop-Ins bottle system to feed my baby, so I needed a better and safer alternative than boiling to sterilize the nipples and such.
I chose this particular steam sterilizer, since it seemed to be the easiest to use, it got good reviews and would work for what I needed it for.
I like this a lot, it saves time and sterilizes like it's supposed to.
The things that I don't like is that it's not large enough to fit the bottles (I thought it was a lot larger and was kind of disappointed at how small it was when it arrived), only the caps, nipples, closing rings, pacifiers and other small items. It doesn't have a drying feature, so like with boiling, I have to wait till everything cools down and air drys before I can use anything.

Nice product

Very nice steam sterilizer. I first purchased an Avent sterilizer. It was overpriced, difficult to de-scale, awkward for non Avent bottles and accessories. This works great for standard mouth bottles and accessories (including breast pump supplies), the container is easily seated and removed from heating plate, which is great for descaling and general clean up of attachaments.
