This new 17 piece set (eight containers) gives you all of our most popular sizes of Lock & Locks. These are by far the best containers ever. My husband and I both bring lunches to work and these are THE ONLY ones I've ever found that don't leak all over the place. This set and many of the other individual pieces can be found at [...] for less than what they're going for here. They're definitely worth the time to look for them and the individual costs. They're the only ones we'll use if we need to pack food to take somewhere, and the food stays fresher longer. We have had staining from tomato sauces, but that's more likely from microwaving the container with the sauce to reheat a lunch, but no smells stay in the container. Some people are having trouble with this set because the sizes and capacities aren't listed. Here they are:
One- 38-cup Container with lid. Measures: 8.9" x 11.5" x 7.3"
Four- 1.3-cup Containers with lids. Measures: 4.1" x 5.4" x 2.1"
One- 8-cup Container with lid. Measures: 5.3" x 8.1" x 4.7"

Airtight seals and no more lost lids

These are the best storage containers we've found. Air-tight, leak-proof, easy to use (snap locks work easily), long-lasting, relatively hard plastic (no odor, less likelihood of food contamination from plastics,low stain likelihood*), and -- important for our small kitchen -- no more cabinet clutter. (* If you microwave foods inside the containers, which is not recommended, there will be some discoloration. Otherwise, we've had no trouble with these whatsoever -- no staining, even with curries and tomato sauces. We put them in the top rack of the dishwasher -- we use a high heat setting for disinfection -- and we've had no problem with them. They're great!)

Excellent containers

I love this containers, the only drawback of this set is that you have an extra huge containers a lot of little containers and just a few mid size containers, I would have preferred more medium sized containers

Great Products.........

These containers seal contents from leakage, and spoilage. They're dishwasher, and microwavable safe. No bending or breaking, and stackable.
These are perfect for mom's and dads who have school age children. With the lock system there will be less messy lunch boxes, and backpacks without leaks and spills!
These are equally useful in the home, wherever messiness, may apply. Objects are easily visible, and contained. When the lid is properly in place a drop or two will keep your stuff inside! Life is a little simpler when unneeded cleanups can be avoided!

Cleaning the seal

Lock and lock products do seem to keep most things a while longer. I bought several sets. A complaint I have is AFTER you purchase the product and read the instructions, L&L advises to remove the seal to clean under it. They advise NOT to use a knife to remove this seal. They DO NOT give any suggestions on what to use to remove the seal. I have mold or something growing under the seal, that I can see and the only way I know to get the seal out is to remove it with a knife tip. Be very aware that mold can grow under the seal and L&L does not offer suggestions as to how to remove the seal to clean under it.
