What An Eerie Series...
Dear Amazonians,
I must say, that when I saw my first episode of the
Unsolved
Mysteries
series, I was utterly spellbound. How creepy and awe-inspiring that a show would be made about the worlds most intriguing and perplexing phenomena. To this day, I still love the mystique that surrounds this program, and adore Robert Stack, as one of the greatest hosts of all time! I was saddened to learn of his death a few years back.
My interest in ghosts was spawned by this part of the series. I had always wondered whether there indeed are spirits that live on after death. "Gordy's Ghost" is one of my favorite episodes, as it tells the story of a young girl who one day sees the ghost of a
strange
man. The girl would talk to this ghost as though he was a real person, interacting with him in a very human way. It was later, however, when the girl told her family of her new friend, that his true identity was learned, and that it was discovered that the man had passed on many years previously. Identifying himself to the girl as "Gordy," the girl was never afraid or suspicious of him, always trusting him as if he were a lifelong friend. Truly mystifying!
I have recently performed a Google Web search, and learned that the "Chupacabra" segment is episode #385, one I have been looking for, for some time. I had not been able to locate this episode on the "Ghosts" set. If any of you readers might know which set episode 385 is on, please do provide this information, as I know that I am not the only Unsolved Mysteries fan who is looking for it!
I still get goosebumps when I think of the shows that I have seen in this series. I think Unsolved Mysteries will forever live on as one of the greatest programs to grace television.
Enjoy in Good Health,
--Daniel

Unsolved
Mysteries
then you should get this for your DVD Collection!
Great Program and Quality Show.
I love UM. You get a lot for the 24 bucks on this. Many varied topics of
mysteries
are covered. Very glad to own this!
Good but could be better
This set has too many murder stories. Also, in the "Bermuda Triangle" segment, Robert Stack's narration incorrectly states that Challenger exploded January 19, 1986, when in fact it was January 28. In addition, there is a "Bigfoot II" segment, but no "Bigfoot I." But it is still very good, "Mothman" and the political stuff are the best.

Hit and Miss!
This is a decent collection from
Unsolved
Mysteries
containing
strange
legends
, or as it appears on screen "mysterious legends." Although some segments like "Elvis' Twin", "Eliot Ness", "Sonny Liston" and "Who Killed Superman?" don't really belong in this collection, they are slightly interesting. Certain segments like "Alcatraz", "Mothman", and "DB Cooper" are excellent while others like "Sonny Liston", "Anastasia" and "Elvis' Twin" I found to be boring. My only complaint is that the DVDs do not use the original haunting theme music that I remember from the early seasons, they use the updated music from the later seasons.
The following is a rating of each segment.
1/5 = boring
2/5 = fair
3/5 = good
4/5 = very good
