Powered subwoofers have become integral to any complete audio/visual system, particularly home theater. Normal speakers leave the very lowest frequencies unheard. Powered subwoofers fill in those blanks. For years, AudioSource has been the leader in providing quality powered subs at affordable prices. All include level controls and both speaker and line inputs and outputs. This model features a variable crossover from 40 Hz to 180 Hz, auto-on circuitry, and a phase reverse switch.

Excellent purchase

This sub delivers an awesome amount of bass for a very reasonable price. The controls on the back make it very easy to control the level. I can shake the entire house if I feel like it, or turn it down and enjoy some nice subtle low tones when it's too late for an earthquake. I would definitely recommend this sub for anyone.

Great sound, good price

This puts the thunder in the picture pretty darned well. Be careful setting this up, as the speaker is pointed downward and when you pick it up you are touching the speaker if you are not careful.

This took a while to get sounding right. It was too boomy but simply adjusting the distance from the walls and changing the direction of the tuned port solved this problem. I'd buy it again.

not bad for a low end sub. it works fine for my room.

Sounds good, but no auto-on signal sensing for power conservation

This subwoofer does sound good, but it does not have auto-on signal sensing - that is not mentioned on the box anywhere, and it pulls ~15W constantly when not in use.
