Soothing for Babies and Their Mommies

I purchased this CD after the birth of my last little one. He is now three and has yet to stay awake past track 9! I recommend it highly to everyone who enjoys simply beautiful and peaceful music. Ms. Douglass plays the Celtic harp with a tenderness that evokes the innocence of sleepy wee folk everywhere. The whole CD is great, but I think the most lovely tracks are #5 "Puff, the Magic Dragon", #8 "O How Lovely the Evening, #9 "Touch of the Master's Hand", #15 "All the World Is Sleeping" and #16 "All the Pretty Little Horses". I believe that #15 is actually the old Welsh lullaby "Suo-Gan" under a different name. This CD makes a beautiful baby gift that both mother and baby will enjoy for a very long time. Even The :30 Samples Put My Little One To Sleep!

My toddler is normally fussy at naptime. There's too much to see, and all kinds of trouble to get into. But this afternoon I was listening to this CD's 30 second song samples...and her eyes gently closed...and she drifted off completely by sample #4! That never happens. I immediately downloaded the album, and she is still dreaming blissfully over an hour later. Try playing the samples for you sleepless little one...and if it works, buy the CD! You won't regret it.

Best soothing lullabies ever

This CD is the best nighttime, relaxing music I have found for our toddler. the harp is very calming and soothing, and the tempos stay slow and relaxing. I've listened to other CDs that sometimes have distracting vocal qualities or a loud or fast section, but this CD is my favorite. It is also longer than most, something like 60 minutes, which I appreciate. I can't recommend this enough. Beautiful, relaxing, soothing, everything you'd want in lullaby music.
