I researched a lot before I bought this

. Since I don't have any experience with another serger, I will say that this one is a good quality for the price. The

ing is a little tricky, even with color coding. Also, it took me 10 broken threads and 1 broken needle before I figured out that I had to rethread the needles when I rethreaded the loopers...EVERY time. That was a frustrating night. However, I really enjoy my serger and have enjoyed the professional looking seams.
