Well I remembered back when I was in great shape that a friend of mine often did some of leslie's videos. Back then I found them not challenging enough. But at the weight I am now I have found it extrememly hard to exercise, even just walking on the treadmill which I think is boring and I've always hated it.
I almost bought this video a few times and put it back thinking it would be just like all the other "beginner" videos I had tried before. So many of them were completly beyond what I could do that they left me feeling overwhelmed and defeated not being able to keep up or complete them.
Thank god I finally bought this one. I've only had it 3 days but I couldn't be happier. The first time I put it in I expected the worst and got the best! This is the first workout I've completed in a couple of years and let me tell you it felt great mentally and physically!!
The moves couldn't be more simple and the time goes so fast you won't believe it. I honestly thought she was still warming up when it showed the meter thingee saying you were half done!! It is completly doable for me and I am in the worst shape(out of breath just walking across the room). So if I can do it I know you can.
Another great thing is Leslie isn't nearly as annoying as some of those other bouncy instructors. Yes,it is dorky at times but I just try to overlook it.
So please if you are like me and feel like you don't know where to start....START HERE!!! Trust me you will be so glad you did!
I live in a second-floor apartment, so I was concerned about getting a good exercise video that wouldn't disturb my downstairs neighbors. WATP is great for this reason. The moves never require a lot of bouncing around. The video requires you to walk in place, and alternate this with various stretches.
I never thought the video was too tough; in fact, it was a simple motivating workout with just the right intensity level I was looking for.
I'd especially recommend the WATP Success 3-pack of videos that comes with the "Stretchie" band. This set includes the one-mile walk, as well as two-mile and three-mile walks.
