Game time is hours away, but Bob the Builder and his friends are ready to play! As Wendy and the machines are prepping the soccer field for the big game, Spud sends the line-marking machine running amok. Can everyone fix the line before the game? Yes, they can! Then, itÂ's almost time for tennis when the merry builders put the finishing touches on the tennis court. Unfortunately, Spud falls flat into the gooey green asphalt that Dizzy has just poured! Never fear. This team is unstoppable! And not even Spud can keep the builders down Ready! Set! Work!

sports themes,very positive roles for wendy too.

Some of the original British only Bob the Builders had rather restrictive roles for Wendy, very stereotyped into helpless female etc. These episodes are fantastic on two levels -- Except for the wallpaper Wendy, they all feature ball games, soccer, tennis, mini golf etc. Very appealing for any little boy. AND, as a stay at home mom, who does all of the fixing around our house, I like that Wendy takes over very capably when Bob is sick, and acts like an equal partner, rather than just being a secretary sitting in the office and taking phone calls.

great addition to your Bob the builder collection

This one has largely positive stories with Wendy solving problems and in charge while Bob is sick/busy etc. The stories that involve fixing a tennis court, soccer field, etc are a great deal of fun for my 2 1/2 year old son. Very sweet, and nice to see Wendy as a capable and equal partner in Bob's business.

I think this is one of the best Bob the Builder videos we have. It's pretty funny seeing how Wendy has to come to Bob's rescue when he tries to hang wallpaper. I suppose the best part of this video is that even though Wendy is a girl, she can fix things too which I think gives confidence to girls to "try" something that just might be out of the ordinary for a girl. As the daughter of a Mr. Fixit, I have learned and used many of the things I was taught as a youngster and Wendy makes it appear to be just "normal" for girls to do these things and not weird. Life puts you in different situations and sometimes the "Barbie Princess" needs to remove her crown and pick up a toolbelt, if you know what I mean! Wendy is just as comfortable fixing cement and painting a soccer field as she is in organizing the construction office. Very well done and I highly recommend this one!

BTB The Big Game

Since My 4 and a half year old loves Bob the Builder, all those videos are good to him. For the most part, I am ok with BTB. The biggest thing I don't like is when one of the characters, especially Spud, does something wrong, he or she simply says "Sorry" and everything is ok. My little guy says "sorry" as a reaction rather than a true apology. I do point out to him that in the real world and especially our world, there are consequences for unacceptable behaviors.
