perfect for 0-13 months
My daughter got this toy when she was a newborn. She is 13 months old now, and still plays with this toy. When she was a new born, I push the music button and spin things around for her. And when she was about 4 months, she started pushing buttons, spinning things. At 12 months, she figured out how to open the jack in the box. We packed away most of her newborn toys except for this one. It's entertaining for all these months. Great toy!
Not a bad toy
I bought this for my 7 month and it is a pretty nice
activity
center
with lots of different knobs and switches that babies like. I like the idea of two different sides of play. The only problem I have with this is that I have trouble hanging it from crib, it really isn't designed to hang from the side of crib, just too bulky. Overall a pretty neat baby toy that my son can grow with.

Just another toy
This product has 2 sides. The side that is for the earlier age (smily face and mirror on a blue background) didn't ever attract much attention from my 5-month old child even beyond 9 months. The ring-pull that you ought to be able to pull to make the orange thing go up doesn't do anything, so that is a scam. On the other side of the product, the items are more interesting and the music is much better. Each instrument gets its own button with flashing lights in time with the beat, so it can make harmonies. I really liked that feature, but I can't say that my child payed much attention to it. Overall, these kinds of "development" toys seem over-advertised. I think my child would have as much fun and get as much development playing with a piece of tupperware.

Good but not great
I'm giving this 3 stars because I bought it as a crib toy and it doesn't attach to the crib rail securely. My baby kicked it off once and I had to tie it on so it didn't happen again. I do
love
that it has an "off" switch for the music ... that is the best feature by far!
