Scarlet Feather is the catering company newly formed by cooking school friends Tom Feather and Cathy Scarlet. They're young and talented, they've made some smart connections, and they've found the perfect premises to make their new business the best in Dublin-but not everyone seems as pleased by the idea of Scarlet Feather as they are.

Cathy's mother-in-law, already disapproving of her son's choice of a wife, thinks that Scarlet Feather is just a hobby and that Cathy should stay at home. With the help of their family and friends, Tom and Cathy start to take Dublin by storm. My first Maeve Binchy

I loved this book! I thought it was a great easy read and I was sad when it was over. Loved the characters.

Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant

I have listened Scarlet Feather 5 times over the last few years. Great on audio. Fascinating story of young caterers starting out. All their families are wonderful characters and the story binds together incredibly. Don't walk to order this one RUN.

Yummy!

I've read several of Binchy's novels, I'm making my way through her catalogue, I'm about half way through. So far, Scarlet Feather is one of her best.

This is just a fun story, with enjoyable characters. I like how she took one year and broke it down into months for us and went from there on getting this business (the Scarlet Feather restaurant) up and running. In between there were personal stories that were just as entertaining.

While Binchy's novels can be lengthy, this book for one had me turning the pages quickly just because it was such an entertaining novel and well written. I will be reading another of her books soon!

Fun read

I loved this story and all the colorful characters. I listened to it on CD while on a road trip and it flew by. I highly recommend it.

So Good Until the Very End

At first I thought this book was hard to get into. It took me forever to get started, but once I got past the first 30 pages I was hooked. This book was amazing. I loved the characters! It was wonderful getting to know Cathy and Tom. I could not wait to see how their lives would turn out. Lizzie and Muttie reminded me of my own parents. I felt like I was apart of this book! It was truly a treat and I wished it went on for another 200 pages!
