Great
Great for kids and adults saw it many times when i was a child now my kids are enjoying it.
Follow that Bird
I remember watching this when I was a kid, I loved it then and I love it now. Big
Bird
was sent to go live with another bird family by a Bird Adoption Agency and he did not like it there. So he decided to walk home, which the bird family thought he ran away. The people from
Sesame
Street
went to look for him, before the Bird Adoption Agency
that
made him go live with the other family could find him. There was a lot of funny things that happened and fun songs that kids and grown up would like.
I recommend this movie to kids and grown ups.

My 3 year old was crying
I think this was a good story, typical
Sesame
Street
, but my 3 year old was crying through most of it because Big
Bird
was lost, and then he was blue, and oh no!
That
made her cry more. Anyway, you know your child; mine is still a little sensitive, obviously, so we've shelved this one for now.
Realities of the Human Condition
This is an interesting movie in
that
it really shows some realities of the human condition. The movie starts with a
Bird
Agency deciding that Big Bird can not be happy because he is not living with other birds. So, they decide he needs to leave his
Sesame
Street
family to live with a bird family. (The Dodos) I don't know if they were aware of the harsh reality they exposed. More often than not, it seems these agencies make decisions and pass judgment WITHOUT knowing what they are talking about or really establishing the facts. (Without going into too many details, I do have experience with these places, and they often make poor decisions without understanding the situations they are dealing with.) If we want to expand a bit further, the great Shakespeare put it well when he said in his "King Lear:" 'striving to better, oft we mar what's well.' Moving on, Miss Finch (of the agency) goes to Sesame Street and convinces Big Bird that he will be happier with the Dodo family. (In Illinois) Back in New York, Big Bird's friends at Sesame Street are of course upset, but they agree that Big Bird has the right to try it if he wants to. Big Bird's friend Mr. Snuffalupugus is especially sad, but Big Bird promises that he will send him a letter when he can visit. Without going on too long about them, the Dodos actually make the naive Big Bird look really smart, and while he can tolerate their lack of intelligence, he can not tolerate their refusal to let Mr. Snuffalupugus visit. (The Dodo's don't like Mr. Snuffalupugus because he is not a bird.) So, Big Bird decides that he has to walk back to Sesame Street. Waylon Jennings gives Big Bird a ride part of the way and encourages him. Back on Sesame Street, Big Birds friends decide they have to look for him. One thing that makes this movie so great, is that despite their faults and flaws, they all go off to look for Big Bird. (Even Oscar the Grouch) Undoubtedly, the most zany group is Oscar the Grouch, the argumentative, but lovable Maria, and Mr. doom and gloom Telly. But things are not going to be simple. Miss Finch is still looking for Big Bird to bring him back to the Dodos, and a corrupt entertainment duet is after Big Bird to capitolize off of him. While this movie may APPEAR to be for children, it really raises true aspects of the human condition. (Agencies thinking they know what should be, flawed friends trying their best, and corruption) Between the suspense, the comedy, and some good songs, this movie is seldom boring. In some ironic moments, Big Bird's friends get VERY close to him, but lose sight of him quickly. (In a typical Ernie and Bert moment, they find him, but lose him quickly, and we're not sure whether we are suppose to laugh or cry.) This movie may technically be for children, but I also feel that it has lasting value for older people as well. I also feel that if parents watch this with their children, they will be surprised as to how good it is.
