Hautning Beautiful Songs

AFter much deliberation, I selected this CD to play in the background during my mother's funeral. It was haunting, appropriate, and beautiful. Everyone loved it, and Mom was a fan.

This CD deserves 5 stars! Every song is absolutely beautiful. Buy it! You will love it!


One of her best albums!

This is one of the best classical albums I've heard in a while and this is one of the few where Sarah doesn't include any "modern" sound effects in her songs. It includes a very nice version of Etude No.3 Opus 10 by Chopin and the all-time favorite Pie Jesu from the Requiem Mass by Andrew Lloyd Webber. It also includes other great songs such as La Luna (original music by Dvorak), La Wally (Opera Version of "A Question of Honour") and of course, Time To Say goodbye.

The booklet that comes inside has many beautiful pictures of Sarah and excerpts from the lyrics of the songs. This is definitely a must-have for any Sarah Brightman/Classical Music fan.

to many brakes and skips

The music and voice of sara are as great as ever. the disc I recieved has at least 20 gaps, pauses and repeats on it. This really hurts the value of the recordeing and listining pleasure to the cd.


My God.....

...wow...I was just over listening to the samples of her Christmas album which featured the untrained breathy voice of a 12 year old. Then I decide to see what she sounds like normally and I get opera-soprano-mature woman with amazing pipes. Was she sick while recording the other album? Talk about day and night! More of the adult singer and less of the kid I think. Not bad at all.
