Great Price For A Great Vacuum

This was the 4th vacuum that I've purchased in the last 4 years. The others were a variety of 'uprights'. They were either too heavy or the brushes weren't very useful or the vacuum was easily clogged or just low vacuum. This time I went on-line and researched and read reviews on several different mid-priced vacuums. This Hoover WindTunnel Cannister got a lot of good reviews so I ordered it.

The Hoover WindTunnel Canister Vacuum, Electronic Bagless S37665-040 is great. The brushes do a very good job of raising the carpet fiber, and the three level vacuum picks up the real fine dirt. I like the ease of going to use the wand around the carpet's edges and furniture. It takes just seconds to switch back and forth. I have no complaints with this vauum's operation and have recommended it to my daughter and work associates.

My family love this item

May be I don't have enough language to explain how this vacuum does its job but it does it wonderfully. I couldn't expect that 209$ vacuum will clean better than that my parents have for 450$, but this little machine cleans much better and has more tools that very helpful. I tried to find appropriate vacuum for the budget I could afford and I was ready to pay 400$ to have good vacuum because my 6 month baby started to crawl. However all vacuums I liked were much more expensive than 400. I'm so glad that I didn't bought 450 Miele I saved money to buy my little one something nice. Don't spend your time for more search buy this one!

So glad I purchased this vacuum!

This vacuum is so easy to use and cleans like I can't believe. My house is 3000 square feet and we vacuumed for two days after receiving it. We couldn't believe what it picked up that our Oreck left behind. May order a second one since our house is two levels but it is easy to use on the stairs and carry up and down if need be. I highly recommend this vacuum.

Great Vacuum

We've had this vacuum for almost 2 1/2 years now and it has held up well. One of the first things I noticed when I started using this vacuum was that it had wonderful suction. After about a year and a half the vacuum seemed to be sucking up less and less. We decided to replace the filter several months ago and we bought the Hoover Wintunnel Bagless Canister HEPA Filter; Long-Life WASHABLE, REUSABLE, Compare With Hoover Part #59134033. It made all the difference. After the filter was replaced the vacuum performed just like it had when it was brand new. We really like the automatic cord recoil and the extension wand. The canister is easy to empty (though it does need to be emptied fairly often)and the filter can be cleaned. I would buy this vacuum again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful for the price, but do NOT wash the filter with water

The vacuum itself is a great product for the price, but I agree with some of the other commenters -- Do NOT wash the "washable" dirt cup HEPA filter with water as described in the instructions! I washed mine a few times as well, and it started to emit a horrible smell after drying. I called Hoover and they sent me a courtesy replacement filter. From now on, I will clean with compressed air, not water.
